I’m super excited about the new addition to the studio. This size 24 form will make it much easier for me to get the proportions of the larger sizes correct. I’m looking forward to a more streamlined pattern testing process. Working only from an industry standard size 8 (real life 2-4) is difficult to grade past size 12-14. Drafting every design in both sizes will ensure proper proportions when grading the upper and lower sizes from the base. ❤️ Inclusivity is important, and I want to make sure it’s done well.

I’m going to attempt to get 6 test sews finished over the next few days. I need to see if any corrections need to be made to these patterns before I digitize them for grading. I’m old school, so I draft everything by hand with pencil to paper before they reach the digital realm. These pieces will finish off the collection with the Drop Shoulder Crop Hoodie for our launch.

Very excited for this book. It’s the first English translated edition from this German pattern-maker’s library of resources. I hope the rest of Guido Hofenbitzer’s books get translated. He has so many that I am interested in. They are intricately detailed with precise instructions and full color illustrations and photographs.
