Welcome to Susan Soderberg Design - a shop created to celebrate material culture of all ethnicities. I design and construct jewelry and garments of beautiful materials and textiles from exotic cultures, featuring designs and motifs influenced by indigenous cultures from the US and around the world. My favorite materials include semi-precious stones (especially turquoise!),all types of silk weaves,
including brocades and textiles embellished with embroidery, beads, sequins, and crystals, velvet, wool, cotton, leather and fur. I prefer to use natural fabrics that BREATHE, but you may find a few synthetic fibers in my collections, which I have had in my fabric inventory for a while. My garments are couture originals, with little likelihood of repeating the same thing twice. Like most artists, I prefer to keep moving forward with new designs, but if I create a real winner, you may see it repeated :). I live in Wyoming, the Wild West, so many of my designs have Western and Native American influence, created with luxury fabrics. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or design ideas.
