Word geeking: In archery, "sin" is an old term for missing the mark or falling short of the target. The word comes from the Old English language and the Greek word hamartia, both of which meant to miss the target.  Origin: The term comes from the sport of archery, where "sin" refers to the act of shooting an arrow and having it miss the bullseye or target entirely 🎯 -- I love this as the true origin of the word. The church adopted the idea of it and made it a religious term. The deeper truth with the real origin of the word means I must sin many times while on my way to on becoming great.

, this city is musical. Even bridges carry beats -next to buildings that sing rebar resonance. Rainier Brewery hides this secret tunnel just behind. It goes “Pa-ta ta” like a muffled crash and a rim shot. The metal tendons between concrete canopies make a metallic pop sound as cars pass overhead. I swear this beat got some kind of syncopated Jazz you can snap to. “Pa-ta ta... Pa-ta ta.” This where we dance with the city. This city keeps me on my toes. This is stolen dance floor. Three of us went sneaking into the University’s athletic center, walking down dark hallways to find an unlocked room where we could play some music and practice. Because we love this stuff. Because dance is beyond fun. Because this is what brings us together. Dancing with and track Dark Kizomba.
