Faith is easy to profess when it costs you nothing.

But what happens when following Jesus Christ costs you your reputation, your friendships, your opportunities, or your comfort?

Are you prepared to stand firm when the pressure comes? Are you willing to obey God when it becomes unpopular?

“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” — 2 Timothy 3:12 (ESV)

We don’t seek persecution, but we will not compromise our faith to avoid it.

Don’t just talk about being a man of God. Live like one. Stand firm. Remain faithful. Count the cost.

Are you ready to stand for Christ when it costs you something?

Es fácil profesar la fe cuando no te cuesta nada.

Pero ¿qué pasa cuando seguir a Jesucristo pone en riesgo tu reputación, tus amistades, tus oportunidades o tu comodidad?

¿Estás preparado para mantenerte firme cuando llegue la presión? ¿Estás dispuesto a obedecer a Dios cuando hacerlo sea impopular?

«Y también todos los que quieren vivir piadosamente en Cristo Jesús padecerán persecución». — 2 Timoteo 3:12 (RVR1960)

No buscamos la persecución, pero tampoco vamos a comprometer nuestra fe para evitarla.

The Old Testament isn’t just Israel’s story. It’s ours.

How many times have we turned our backs on God? How often have we traded obedience for comfort, truth for approval, and faithfulness for the empty promises of this world?

It’s easy to look at Israel’s rebellion and ask how they could turn away from a God who had done so much for them.

But how different are we?

We have sinned against the same holy God. We have hearts that are guilty before Him. We have no grounds for self-righteousness.

The judgment we read about should humble us, not make us feel superior.

And that is why we thank God for Jesus Christ.

We do not save ourselves. We do not earn mercy. Our hope is in the Savior who gave Himself for sinners.

Read the Old Testament with humility. Examine your own heart. And thank God for Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is my head. My wife is my partner. My family is my responsibility. My work is my duty. My church is where I grow and serve. My community is where I contribute. And my city is where I strive to leave a lasting impact.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about getting your priorities in order and taking responsibility for what God has placed in your hands.

Build your life on Christ. Lead your family with purpose. Serve beyond yourself.

Not everyone deserves access to your life, and not everyone will tell the truth about you when that access is gone. Let them speculate. Let them talk. Your responsibility is not to control their tongues, but to guard your character and remain faithful to Christ.

Walk in truth. Stand firm in faith. Stay the course.
