Just as a reminder - please make sure that before you drop off a uniform to be altered, it is FRESHLY laundered. Because....we can tell.
A) Dirty clothes can harbor bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites that lead to skin irritation, rashes, and various infections that can survive on fabrics for long periods of time.
B) We want to keep our staff healthy - this is the easiest way to do so. 😉
Staph Infections (Staphylococcus aureus): Can survive on fabrics for weeks or months, leading to painful skin boils, abscesses, or blood infections.
Fungal Infections: Fungi like Aspergillus or dermatophytes can cause athlete's foot, ringworm, and worsen respiratory or allergic symptoms from dirty bedding.
Gastrointestinal Illnesses: Trace f***l matter on unwashed undergarments can transfer E. coli, Salmonella, and norovirus, risking illness if proper hygiene is ignored.
Parasitic Infestations: Unwashed second-hand or shared clothing can transmit scabies and body lice.
Dermatitis and Acne: Accumulated sweat, oils, and bacteria clog pores and trigger contact dermatitis or flare-ups of eczema
AND IT'S GROSS. DON'T BE GROSS!
Please and Thank you! ;)
