Took it upon myself to use up the last little bit of dilute ‘cerulean’ (which is always lovely) on a 2-ish yard length of cotton velveteen.

It turned out palest high-sky-blue, soft as blanket, and now I gotta figure out how to put this piece of cloud into a bolero jacket.

Hard to tell against the yellowed white paper here, boy how I wish I could do better photos—anyway, this is the gist of it—against white paper that has nought to do at all with its destination.

Small quilt in progress. Freeform and about 97% hand-dyed. For the backing, some rare and handmade batik from actual human hands in Java. See Dharma Trading Company, as they are my primary enabler. Oh yes.

I'm just hanging on these daze... One foot in front of another, and maybe more hours of a day out of bed than in it. I don't always win that one.
Thanks, anybody showing up here for a howdee-doo.

Seems there's some random interest in Fabric Fool, so with the Internet's permission, I will bring FFool to the forefront. Is this a thing that interests, other than mine?

I’m not in business anymore; the degenerative disease has taken me out. In fact, it’s taken my teeth. See fundraiser “amber’s dental fundraiser “

I've mostly spared this page from all the trauma of our moving from Novato to Places Unknown.
Today, we're going up to the place we've chosen.
Major criteria, after cost and location were: a) no stairs, and b) space for me to work.
Long story short(er)...
I've got both!! No stairs, and a marvelous utility room with counter space and so much more.
Please come along with me as I make studio space from scratch.

The Fabric Fool won **5** Blue ribbons at the Marin County Fair last week. Add 5 more 2nd place ribbons -- one for an art quilt! -- and **4** Special Awards, including Fair Theme (on the art quilt); a Stitchcraft award; one for "Most Creative"; and one for "Best Workmanship".

There were some 3rds, 4ths, and 5ths, too, but those aren't really boast-able.
