August, you were full in the best way.

Days at The HUB, our trunk show at Lifestyle East Hampton, events, familiar faces, new ones, and so many summer moments in between.

Pieces making their way to Xcaret Hotels in Mexico.

There was a lot of work behind this month.
But there was also so much joy in it.

There’s something I love about clothes that just feel easy.

You put them on and they feel right. Comfortable. Relaxed. Made to actually live in.

And then you look a little closer and notice the details.

The hand-embroidered waistband.
The little lines along the shirt.
The things that could have been left out, but weren’t.

I think that’s what makes a simple piece feel special.

That’s the kind of luxury I want Montsera to feel like.

Easy to wear.
Beautiful to discover.

Some places quietly become part of your story.

What started as a place to bring Montsera for the summer somehow became so much more.

Familiar faces.
Little conversations between customers.
People stopping by just to say hello.
Days that began with work and ended feeling a little like home.

Today is my last day at The HUB for the summer, and I’m leaving with that strange feeling you get when a season ends before you’re quite ready for it to.

Thank you for giving Montsera a little home in the Hamptons.
And thank you to everyone who walked through those doors and became part of this chapter with us.

I have a feeling we’ll carry this one for a while.

There’s something about a Friday in summer.

You leave work thinking you’re just heading home,
and somehow the evening has other plans.

Someone calls.
Dinner gets pushed a little later.
One drink becomes staying for another.

And for a couple of days, life feels a little less planned.

But sometimes those are the weekends you end up loving the most.

I’ve always loved the way a place stays with you long after you leave.

Not always the things you planned to see.

Sometimes it’s the corner you kept passing.
The bakery you found by accident.
A song coming from somewhere you couldn’t quite place.
The feeling of walking with nowhere you needed to be yet.

Somehow, those are the things that come back first.

Not the itinerary.
Not the perfect photograph.

Just the little things you never thought you’d remember.

And years later, they’re the ones that take you right back.

I love thinking about the moment a piece stops being ours.

The moment someone sees it, chooses it, and takes it home.

She wears it her way.
Moves in it her way.
And suddenly, it begins a life beyond the one we imagined for it.

From there, we never really know where it will go.

Maybe to a dinner, a trip, a photograph, or a summer she’ll remember years from now.

And I think that’s one of the most beautiful parts of creating.

We make the piece.
She makes the memory.

I think some memories begin before we even know they’re going to matter.

A morning that felt ordinary.
The way the light came through the window.
Coffee left unfinished.
A piece you kept reaching for because it simply felt like you.

And then time moves on.

You forget the date.
You forget what you were talking about.
But somehow, you remember how it felt.

Maybe that is the beauty of it.

The way certain places, certain summers, certain pieces become part of us without asking.

Not because they were perfect.

Because they were ours.

Not in a factory.

Just threads, a backstrap loom, and the hands of a woman who has learned to weave the way generations before her did.

Little by little, the fabric begins to exist.
