Starting solids can be scary but Little Keegs offers a Complete Silicone Suction Feeding Set to help take the guesswork out of starting solids. Our feeding sets include everything your little one needs to safely begin their solid food journey.

Our silicone suction bowl and spoon are great for mixing up cereal or serving your baby their favorite purée and when they are ready to start self feeding the square shape of the bowl allows babies to easily scoop their own food.
Babies are super curious not to mention that they are used to exploring things with their mouth. Our utensils are designed with a soft silicone tip and strong beechwood handle. This provides them the support they need to learn how to navigate scooping but also makes them safe and soft for their teething gums.

When babies are ready for solids, besides choosing the correct feeding ware one of the most important things to consider is their positioning when seated in a high chair. Proper positioning allows babies to freely use their hands, and arms, and helps them to swallow and chew safely.

Proper positioning includes the following:
* Shoulder and hip alignment. The back should be completely straight and their shoulders need to be in line with hips.
* Knees should be bent with the ability to bear weight forward into the feet.
* They need the ability to easily reach the food on their tray with their hands.
* Their weight should be forward, allowing them to press through their feet. This creates about a 90-degree angle through the ankles. Look for the postural position of the feet pressing into a footplate.
