With a full and grateful heart, I want to thank everyone who attended From Heritage to Horizon: The Next Stitch Forward runway presentation at Savage Mill.

Your presence made the evening more than a fashion show. It became something spiritual. It became a moment of honoring, remembering, and stepping forward together.

This was our first time ever presenting a Black History runway of this magnitude in this historic 1822 space. To feel the love, the respect, and the attentiveness in the room was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. Your support affirmed that stewardship matters. That history matters. That culture matters.

Thank you for showing up with open hearts.
Thank you for embracing the vision.
Thank you for helping make this inaugural moment possible.
To our models, students, families and supporters – thank you for trusting the vision and walking boldly into the future.

The New Weave Commons is being transformed with stunning, colorful fabrics for this Thursday's opening of Threads of Heritage: African Print Fabrics & The Stories They Carry, curated by Mill-based business Leona's Sewing Studio. Join us at 6 pm for the opening reception with Howard County Executive Calvin Ball and Councilwoman Christiana Rigby. On display through April 3rd.
Organized as part of "Black History Month at Savage Mill – History Remembered. Futures Reclaimed", a series of events organized by various small businesses that call Savage Mill home.
