Solar Rebirth, Arcana XIX: the sea, Necklace

This piece is inspired by the dual symbolism of rebirth found in both the tarot’s sun card and Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. I wanted to merge solar radiance with oceanic origin, two forces that speak to renewal, clarity and awakening.

This project explores transformation through material and process, inspired by Quetzalcoatl as a symbol of rebirth and change in Mexican culture. The irregular forms and raw surfaces reflect that struggle, the abalone fragments emerging from the wood symbolize moments of transformation within the material 🐍
