Founded and operated by Veterans, Nine Line is determined to continue to answer the nation's call to ensure the survival of liberty and prevent the deterioration of American Values. At its core, Nine Line is a give-back organization, striving to give back to the military and first responder communities that fought and died for our freedoms. Ivan Campos joined Nine Line in 2021 as a developer, helping build the tools our team relies on every day. A few months ago, he stepped away from a career he loved to serve our country. Today, he graduated from boot camp.

- October 23, 1921 - The selection of the Unknown Soldier.
The United States lost 77,000 during WWI. To commemorate the sacrifice, one of many unidentified bodies buried in the American military cemeteries in France was chosen for reburial in Arlington National Cemetery.
Four bodies from the cemeteries of Aisne-Marne, Meuse-Argonne, Somme, and St. Mihiel were brought to Chalons on October 23, 1921. Sergeant Edward Younger was chosen to make the selection the following day. The caskets were draped with American flags prior to selection. The third casket on the left was chosen by placing white roses upon the casket.
The casket was then inscribed "An Unknown American who gave his life in the world war." On the morning of October 25, the casket was placed onboard the American cruiser Olympia for the final journey home.

Tech Sgt. Ian Patterson was from Fort Stewart, Georgia, about 30 minutes from Nine Line HQ in Savannah. Ian spent 15 years serving and leading with honor in the United States Air Force while building a family with his wife, Niki, and their two boys.
Fellow Air Force TACP Jared Taylor designed this memorial t-shirt with Niki’s guidance. A portion of the proceeds goes directly to the TACP Foundation, helping our community secure a future for the Patterson family- https://nine.li/PATTERSON

Have you heard of the Marine Mail Guards before?
In October 1926, President Coolidge ordered 2,500 Marines to guard US Mail after the brutal robbery and murder of a US Mail truck driver. The 4th Marines were spread throughout 12 states. These armed Marines became a sobering sight throughout Post Offices, mail trains, and mail trucks. Only one robbery was attempted while Marines guarded US mail. The Mail Guards returned to normal duty on 10 January 1927 as the force was disbanded.

Before there were aisles full of pop culture costumes, Halloween was a homemade affair. In the early 1900s, people crafted their disguises from scraps, paper, fabric, and imagination. The idea wasn’t to mimic a movie character but to transform into something unrecognizable. Many of these early costumes were inspired by folklore, spirits, and superstition. Looking back now, they carry an eerie charm and remind us that the scariest costumes don’t come from stores, they come from creativity.
