❤️ The best kind of afternoons are often the simplest ones.
After a busy morning filled with responsibilities and follow-through, I stepped away from work mode for a little while and went to visit my mother.
When I arrived, she greeted me with a bag of tomatoes and a cucumber she had just picked from her garden. Nothing fancy. Nothing extravagant. Just a mother’s love, wrapped in the fruits of her labor.
Standing there holding those vegetables, I was reminded that happiness often arrives in the smallest moments—a quiet visit, a shared conversation, and something grown by hand and given from the heart.
Today, that little bag from the garden meant more than she will ever know. ❤️

❤️I took Mom to Michael’s on Sunday for a scavenger hunt and cookie decorating class, and we had an absolute blast. 🤠🍪

This was the moment I proudly crowned her the Rodeo Queen of the Day. I picked out the hat and placed it on her head myself, telling her it matched her hair color perfectly. I insisted she wear it for the rest of the day, and she kindly obliged with a big smile.

That’s my rodeo girl. ❤️

Some people come into your life for a season.
And then there are the rare souls who walk beside you through the chapters of your life — quietly, faithfully, lovingly — never asking for recognition, only showing up again and again with grace.

For more than 36 years, Iris has been that kind of soul in my life.

She has been far more than my attorney or confidante. She has been a sister, a friend, a counselor, a protector, and at times, the steady hand helping guide me through some of the most important moments of my life and career.

There are very few people in this lifetime who are truly gifts from God. Iris, you and Lilo have been two of the greatest gifts in my life.

Thank you for every phone call answered, every moment of honesty, every ounce of love, loyalty, and care you’ve given me through the years.

I love you both very much.
