Lavender Overlook

I love looking down on farmland from an airplane as the patches of browns and greens flow by beneath me.

The composition of “Lavender Overlook,” was inspired by that 10,000-foot view, but reimagined. Constructed from various hand-painted papers, it presents a patchwork of colors that evoke a a tactile landscape.

The interplay of turquoise and lavender creates a rhythmic flow that guides the eye, instilling a sense of movement, bolstered by the presence of bright white patches that punctuate the scene.

I recommend printing this stunning piece at 53" x 40" on canvas with a silver wood frame.

Cloudburst

"Cloudburst" reminds me of puffy cumulus clouds floating in an early evening sky. That in-between time of day always makes me take a deep, settling breath. Here, I imagine streaks of sun dancing through the clouds, its golden rays glinting and refracting through the atmosphere. The art highlights my use of hand-blotted papers, their many textures in harmony with their colors and forms.

I recommend printing this painting on canvas at 40x30" and framing in silver or gold to create an all-encompassing statement wall.
