St. Eve's

St. Eve's St. Eve's specializes in designing and manufacturing upscale men's formal wear accessories (bow ties, vests, and cummerbunds). She is a perfectionist! The St.

The first production run is being made in San Diego, by a talented tailor/draper (Su Lin Chen), along with a team of great people! The line this first year consists of backless formal vests, four styles of bow ties and cummerbunds by special request. The vests are the backless style, commonly worn with formal wear. These vests are made of really rich fabrics, the best interfacings, and sturdy hard

wear. Each vest can be worn with either side facing out. Generally there is a conservative side and a more colorful side. The vests are adjustable in two ways. They may be made longer or shorter (for long waisted and tall people, and short waisted and short people). The adjustment is made in the center back, just under the collar. Simply change the hole that the buttons are in to lengthen or shorten the vest. The waist is adjustable on both sides of the beautiful heavy duty silver colored buckle by changing the position of a slider. When you are picking out which vest you want, remember that the two fabric choices that you see are never seen together! The two sides of the vest are separated by a small piping cord that coordinates with both fabrics. So a vest that has one side as black and the other side as red will have piping around the edge. This insures that when you are wearing a black vest, the bright red lining will not be visible!!! The front of the vest does not have buttons. Both the right and left sides have button holes. This is so that when the vest is reversed the left side can always overlap the right side. The front of the vest is held together but vest studs. They are like shirt studs, except larger. There will be six included with each vest. It is easier to work the small end of the vest stud into the buttonholes from the outside to the inside, instead of trying to pull the larger end of the stud (the part that shows) through from the inside to the outside. It will be much easier on the button holes to have just the small end of the stud going through it. Each side of the vest has two functioning pockets (four pockets in all). Even though the pockets from the different sides of the vest are on top of each other, the pockets are independent of each other. The more conservative side has a simple welt pocket. The other side has a flap pocket. The flap can be neatly tucked inside to look like a welt pocket. Eve's label is the underside lining of the flap. When you are wearing the vest and lift the flap and look down at it, the name "St. Eve's" will be right side up to you.
