Digging through an original Dance France catalog from the 1990s, we discovered this beautiful pastel floral leotard and knew we had to bring the look back to life.

We paired the original vintage leotard with our new Rib Nylon Leggings, connecting nearly four decades of Dance France history in one look. The soft pastel colors, floral pattern, and feminine silhouette represent an era when activewear was expressive, colorful, and designed to celebrate movement.

This is exactly why preserving the Dance France archives is so important to us. Every catalog and every original garment teaches us something about the fabrics, colors, styling, and creative vision that defined the brand.

As we slowly bring back limited drops of our vintage Dance France bodysuits, we wanted to create something that connects our history with where the brand is going next.

Available now is out 3rd street Rib Nylon Sports Bra, inspired by the fabrics, textures, and silhouettes that helped define Dance France throughout the 80s and 90s.

While our vintage inspired bodysuits are carefully being recreated, this piece gives you a chance to experience a part of the Dance France aesthetic today and become part of the community we are building around its return.

The Lacey Collection represents one of the most beautiful and feminine sides of vintage Dance France. 🤍

Seen here in an original 1990s Dance France catalog and beautifully worn by Jean Pelton, these pieces combined delicate lace, elegant silhouettes, and the signature confidence that defined so much of the Dance France aesthetic.

Discovering these original garments alongside the photographs and catalogs they appeared in decades ago is incredibly special. It allows us to see the complete vision François Geis and the Dance France team created, from the material and fit to the model and final image.

Dance France already has decades of incredible designs, iconic silhouettes, beautiful colors, and unforgettable garments within its archives. Our goal is to rediscover what made those pieces so special and carefully bring that energy into today.

The past gave us the inspiration. Now it is our responsibility to preserve it, refine it, and introduce it to a new generation.
Sometimes the future of fashion can be found by looking back at what we already did beautifully.

In this episode, we dive deeper into the incredible photographic archives François Geis left behind and bring one of the original Dance France looks back to life.

We matched a beautiful pair of original Dance France cotton floral leggings with a baby blue ribbed nylon leotard, recreating the colors, textures, and styling that helped define the brand throughout the 80s and 90s.

Looking through these archives gives us the opportunity to understand why these combinations worked so beautifully and how we can bring that same energy into the future of Dance France.

The 80s and 90s represented a beautiful era of freedom, movement, and women expressing themselves through fitness and fashion. Exercise became more than a routine. It became a lifestyle and a new way for women to celebrate their strength, confidence, individuality, and bodies.

Dance France was proud to be part of that movement. Through expressive bodysuits, leotards, leggings, and activewear, the brand gave women the freedom to move, feel beautiful, and express who they were through what they wore.

It was never just about exercise. It was about confidence, femininity, freedom, and feeling comfortable in your own body.

The suede Tricolor Sweater represents another side of Dance France in the 80s. Bold, structured, and designed with sharp contrasting lines, this piece showed how the brand could take its signature design language beyond bodysuits and women’s activewear and create something equally striking for men.

The combination of suede, three tone styling, and strong geometric shapes gave the sweater an architectural presence that perfectly captured the confidence and creativity of the 80s.

Pieces like this remind us just how diverse Dance France truly was. It was more than dancewear. It was a complete vision of fashion, movement, color, and form.
