Before Dance France became an iconic name in the 80s and 90s, it started with pure passion, creativity, and relentless hard work from François Geis. Long before the brand gained recognition, François was importing fabrics from Alsace, France, experimenting with designs, and building garments that blended European elegance with California energy.
In the early days, everything was built from vision and determination creating photo shoots, designing bodysuits, connecting with dancers and gymnasts, and pushing a completely new style of women’s movement fashion that the world hadn’t fully seen yet.
Those beginning stages became the foundation of what would eventually shape an era of dancewear, fitness, and women’s fashion.
