DAY 14!!! We finally have clothes hanging up...Can you believe it?! 🥹 It is FINALLY starting to look like a real Wear & Roam store and I could cry!!! Every other surface is currently a disaster… so respectfully, don’t look over there 😂 Focus on my cutie little sitting area and our dressing rooms are officially up!! 🙌🏼 Little by little, it’s all coming together and I’m getting so excited for you guys to see this place finished. That’s all for now :) See you tomorrow!!!

DAY TWELVE!!! We skipped Day 11. I’m sorry. I’m doing my best with these updates while also trying to build an entire store. Ha! But look, our inventory is in the store!!
We officially moved everything out of the back room and into the actual store and this feels like a VERY big moment.
Asa finished putting the countertops together, so those are currently clamped down while the glue fully dries. And I’m over here getting hangers ready because we are SO CLOSE to finally opening these boxes and getting the clothes out!!!
I feel like I’ve been saying that for 12 days BUT THIS TIME I MEAN IT. 😂
Next up… UNBOXING!!! 🤍🙌

DAY TEN!!! And today is a little bit of a doozy.
The good news? THE FIXTURES ARE FINALLY ON THE WALLS!! The not-so-good news? Asa cut all of the pipes a little too long… so now he gets to take them all back down and cut them again. 😭 At this point, “we’re almost there” has basically become our store motto. BUT once these pipes are the right length, we can FINALLY get into the part I have been waiting for...Opening all of those boxes of clothes, sorting through everything, figuring out what goes where!!
We’re getting closer. I PROMISE. 😂

DAY NINE!!! And WE ARE FINALLY GETTING FIXTURES ON THE WALLS. 🙌 We’re getting so close to the really fun part — opening ALLLL of these boxes of clothes, figuring out what’s going where and finally making this place look like Wear & Roam. I cannot wait. #
Also sorry we missed Day 8… it consisted of not one, but TWO different IKEA trips and returning approximately one million things. 😂 It was a bit of a hot mess and honestly you didn’t miss much. But today?! PROGRESS.
Fixtures are going up. Boxes are almost ready to be opened. And I can finally see the finish line.

DAY SEVEN!!! And today we’re going with… It has to look worse before it looks better. 😂 Remember that cash wrap I thought was finished yesterday? Yeahhhh. About that. Turns out we had to basically DISASSEMBLE the whole thing so we could properly mount the countertop Asa made. So currently… there is stuff EVERYWHERE. One step forward, two steps back, right?! BUT we got the BEST news!! Everything we’re doing in the space has officially been approved! 🙌 So from here on out it is GO TIME!
Also, want to know something funny? There’s a World Market basically across the street and I’ve been buying things for the store and having them HOLD everything for us. 😂 So there is currently a little W&R pile over there just waiting to come home. I cannot wait to go pick it all up and finally start making this place feel cute!!!
Today: chaos.

DAY SIX!!! And we officially have a cash wrap! 🙌
Look at this thing!! Asa made the wood countertop himself and I am OBSESSED. And can we talk about all that shelving space?! also got our sewing machine section into place and HOW PERFECT?! Seeing the machines sitting there made this whole thing suddenly feel very real.
Now… if you turn the camera approximately two inches in any other direction, the rest of the store is still a complete hot mess. 😂
BUT THIS CORNER?? I see the vision!!
Little by little, it’s all starting to come together and I seriously cannot wait to get the clothes in here and see this place actually become Wear & Roam.
Day 6… we’re getting there!!

A little pause in the build-out content for some much-needed TLC. 🤍
Asa and I made two rules for ourselves during this process because we are truly BUSTING IT trying to get this store open. We’re taking on this entire build-out ourselves and it’s been a lotttt of work. Honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So, two non-negotiables:
1. Sit down and enjoy a meal together.
2. Work stops at 7.
We head to the beach, catch the sunset and enjoy the beach for a bit before we head back at it.
Tonight we stumbled across the coolest little trail down to the water and it was exactly what we needed.
If you’re in a season of working really hard toward something you’re excited about, consider this your reminder to give yourself a little room to enjoy it along the way too. 🤍
OK… back to the build-out!!!

DAY FIVE!!!!! And I have to say… I am absolutely CRUSHING the IKEA game at this point.
The majority of the cash wrap is BUILT!! And Asa made this amazing wood countertop for it that is going to look soooo good once everything comes together.
I’ve now convinced myself that we can wrap up most of the build-out today… which may be slightly delusional, but we’re going with it. Cross your fingers for us!!!
We are SO close to getting the sewing machines into position, finishing up the last few things and then… WE GET TO BRING IN THE CLOTHES!!! 🙌
I’m exhausted. But we are CRUISING and this little store is actually starting to look like a STORE. 🥹
Soooo close. Back to work!!!

DAY FOUR!!! And today is officially an IKEA day. Like… the entire day. 😂
We decided to do our own thing for a lot of the furniture in the store, so we found several IKEA pieces that we’re putting together to create our cash wrap + a few other things throughout the space. So if you need me today… I’ll be right here. Building. And building. And probably still building!
BUT every little piece we finish makes this place feel more and more like an actual Wear & Roam store and I seriously cannot wait to see it all together.
Day 4, let’s do this!!!

09/03/2026

OK so we sort of… missed Day 2.
In our defense, we were basically working for 24 hours straight, sooooo welcome to DAY THREE!!!
The U-Haul is officially EMPTY. Everything is inside. And wowwww I’m not sure I ever want to move this much inventory again. 😂
AND WE FIGURED OUT THE FLOORS!!! Turns out nothing a little paint can’t fix. 🙌
The entire space is clean, we’ve started marking the walls for fixtures + shelves, and for the first time it’s actually starting to look like the store we’ve had in our heads this whole time.
I CAN SEE IT!!! 👀
After all the measuring, cleaning, moving, approximately 700 trips back and forth… the hard work is paying off.
A real Wear & Roam store is SO CLOSE and I cannot wait to see this place completely decked out in W&R. 🥹🤍
Back to work!!! 🔨
