Second locket, done! I had so much fun with the first, I immediately decided to do it again, only this time I gave myself the challenge of making something smaller (oh how I love making things more difficult on myself🫢).
For this one, I went into it knowing I wanted it to be this specific marquise shape and size. I started there, building the locket base and then designing it around the shape, making each little flower and forging the snake to fit just right. The first one is pretty hefty, clocking in at around 13g of silver and almost 2” tall, while this one ended up at about 4g and .8”.
Now to finish a Montana sapphire gold pendant, a parti sapphire gold pendant, three silver necklaces for teacher gifts, and a bat piece before starting more lockets.
