The project is cute.
That one step? Not so much.

If you’ve ever been cruising along just fine and then hit the part that makes you mutter, re-thread, unpick, and reconsider your choices... welcome. You’re among friends.

A lot of sewing frustration is not about being bad at sewing.
It’s about getting stuck on one specific thing and not having real-time help.

That’s where private lessons can help.
On Zoom or in the Seattle area, I help sewists work through the part that keeps going sideways — without the shame spiral, the endless guessing, or the 14-tab tutorial rabbit hole.

Because sometimes you do not need more information.
You need actual help with the thing in front of you.

If you keep getting stuck on the same part, let’s work through it together.

In my defense, it did look like a 2 week project.

How much sewing could a sewist sew if a sewist could stop… absolutely anything else. 😂🧵

“This should be quick” is one of the most reckless things a sewist can say out loud.

If you sew, you already know this hobby gives joy, skill, pride, and the occasional unnecessary character-building exercise.😬

And somehow we still come back for more.
Because we love it here. Unfortunately. 🧵✂️

“Why is it doing that?” is basically a sewing dialect at this point.

Some projects are going perfectly fine... until that one part shows up and suddenly you’re questioning your skills, your pattern, your fabric, and possibly your entire life.

And honestly?
That does not mean you’re bad at sewing.

Usually, there’s just one step that keeps tripping you up — fit, sleeves, zippers, collars, buttonholes, fabric that suddenly has an attitude, whatever it is.

That’s exactly where 1:1 sewing help can make such a big difference.

Because sometimes you do not need another generic tutorial.
You need someone to help with your project, your fabric, and your specific “why is it doing this?” moment.

I offer private sewing lessons on Zoom or in the Seattle area for sewists who want less guessing and more actual progress.

If one part keeps slowing you down, you do not have to keep fighting with it alone.

Tell me you sew without telling me you sew. 😅✂️💸

Money may not fix everything… but walking into a really good fabric shop gets dangerously close. 😌🧵✨

One of my favorite fabric stores in Germany is Kreativsaal (Weißes Roß) — and it’s extra special because it’s owned by Alexandra Jakubowski, a Polish expat, former nurse, and seriously talented seamstress. So this is not just a pretty shop full of beautiful fabric temptations… it’s a space created by someone who truly gets sewing.

And honestly? You can feel that when you’re there.

03/27/2026

Apparently, it’s called a receipt.🙃
But I’m pretty sure it was a prescription.

Here’s the thing — walking into a fabric store without a plan is how you end up with 3 yards of “what was I thinking?” and zero progress on your actual project.

Pretty fabric ≠ right fabric.

If you’re in Seattle (hi, Ballard 👋), I’ll literally meet you at the fabric store, help you choose the right fiber, weight, drape, and yardage for your pattern…

And then we’ll go straight into a sewing lesson so your “prescription” becomes a finished garment.

Not in Seattle?
We can do it on Zoom. Yes, really. Fabric consult + sewing lesson.

DM me & let’s make your next project actually happen.

Sewing faster isn’t impressive.

Sewing well is.

Clean finishes.
Better fit.
Fewer “why does this look… off?” moments.

You don’t get that from rushing.
You get it from someone watching you sew and quietly saying,
“Try this instead.”

That’s what one-on-one sewing lessons are for.

Not more information.
Real guidance.
For your projects. On your machine. At your pace.

Zoom or in-person in Seattle.
DM me LESSONS and tell me what you’re working on 🧵✨

Sorry, I can’t come out. I have plans.
The plans: me, this machine, and zero awareness of the outside world.

Need someone to actually watch you sew and help in the moment? That’s my one-on-one jam. DM me... let's chat.

Be honest—if YouTube could actually see what you’re doing, this project would already be finished. 😅

One-on-one sewing lessons aren’t about learning more.
They’re about having someone watch you sew and say,
“Ah. That’s the issue.”

No rushing.
No comparing.
No guessing why it still doesn’t look right.

Just real-time help, tailored to your machine, your fabric, and your brain.
