Happy “National Mom & Pop Business Owners Day”!
Many of you know, The Utilikilts Company is still owned and operated by its original inventor/founder, and it’s safe to say that few folk live and breathe and represent their product more than Krash.
Together with The Mrs, Krash continues to liberate the Bifurcated Masses and eschew compromise with big business, fast fashion, and commodified art while simultaneously raising kids, and personally engaging with a loyal customer base who spend their hard earned dollars on a quality garment that bolsters their own unique idiom and sense of self…(how was that for a run on sentence?!)
Keeping a Mom and Pop Shop alive in this post pandemic world means doing business from your iPhone, responding to customers’ texts in between production meetings and after school activities and improvising when the 💩 hits the fan, because the work is never done, but someone’s gotta do it!
Mr. and Mrs. Utilikilts are deeply devoted to and humbled by all of you who make trips across the country just to visit the Utilikilts HQ, who send in photos of their 25 year old well-loved kilts that are treasured as relics, who who make it a point to mention our name to the wide eyed strangers on the street when they’re asked, “where do you get that amazing kilt?!” We love you all and thank you for joining us on this wild ride!
