This piece reasserts the Hiraya Glori essence. Where whimsy, camp, and sensuality meet at an intersection. I wanted to approach Valentine’s Day without being too “on the nose,” I instead translated romance through silhouette and scale. I was inspired by Moschino’s campy energy that still remains editorial and high-fashion, I engineered a six-paneled mini skirt with by an exaggerated wired bow. In red organza, I wanted this piece to be a nod to my very own Barbie; exaggerated, hyper-feminine, and knowingly artificial.
