Thank you to everyone who participated in our Wonderland-themed fundraiser for The Emergency Feeding Program of King County on Saturday! Special thanks to for helping orchestrate the event and donating a gift card, for donating baked goods, for hosting a donation bin, and for donating a gift card! It was truly a community effort; we appreciate you!

We’ve been dreaming up a fun and whimsical event that also supports our community! There will be a cast of Wonderland characters to take photos with, an iced tea and cookie stand, and a costume contest (wear your best Alice in Wonderland-inspired garb!) This is a free event to attend, though our goal is to raise funds for the King County Emergency feeding program! We will be accepting non-perishable food items and monetary donations to support their crucial work. Please join us!

We are so excited to host Michelle, creator of the delightful watercolor art experience known as You as an Animal, here at the shop on Sunday, May 3rd! You pick what animal you want to be depicted as, she creates the magic. Michelle and her art are so beloved that almost all the time slots for portraits filled before we even had a chance to advertise, but there are still a couple spots left (Google doc with sign up times is linked in our story today.)

Hello neighbors! Please join us on Saturday, March 28.

We are holding a family friendly version of the No Kings community protest on March 28! We will have sign-making materials in front of the shop when we open at 10. From 11-2 we will gather at the four corners at the intersection of Rainier and Edmunds to raise our voices against the unjust and cruel acts of violence condoned by the current administration. Rumor has it members of the Columbia City Community Chorus will be there to lead folks in song.

As always, we will be mindful of the doorways of neighborhood businesses and pedestrians on the sidewalk. Please bring friends, *pens, and raise your voices!

*We will have sign making materials but encourage folks to bring their own if they have them! And we definitely encourage reusing signs from previous protests.
