Ok all. I promised a list. A list of other boutiques and suppliers that either I have shopped with or I personally know.
I knowwwww shopping online is a tad risky when you have no idea if the person selling you those jeans is legit or not. So … I felt like with us saying farewell, this would be helpful.
I will say that An Extra Leaf has had an uncommon aesthetic. A bit eclectic. A little boho here, and a tad chic there. To achieve everyone’s taste is difficult. So I just curated what I loved and would wear.
To sort of replicate that, I’ve included boutiques for specific things. Some really have a deep inventory of certain items - and I hope this list is helpful. I’ll also include little tidbits of extra info as I know it.
I also will say that many boutiques have shifted to a drop ship system. Meaning, they may not have it actually in stock - but once you order, have it shipped to you from another supplier or boutique. I dislike this model as a customer and here’s why: they have no idea of quality, fit, or other helpful insight. However, if they have at least a sample they have ordered - then at least they understand the garment and can give fit advice. Always look to see that a boutique shows items via LIVE sales, explains fit and always be sure to check their rating.
Feel free to add your thoughts, experiences or trusted boutiques in comments. Just know that I reserve the right to delete a comment if derogatory or if it’s a boutique that I know might be shady. (Yes, they do exist)
1. For jeans: Freckled Poppy - they are a BIG boutique. A well oiled machine and have a ton of on hand inventory but mostly they run DEEP in jeans.
2. Boutique 1780 - a boutique run by a friend of mine that I know from my old A&D days. She’s down to earth and specifically strives for size inclusivity.
3. A Boutique by Rachel Clark - another friend from back in those early A&D days. She’s got a wide selection of Ampersand and Very G shoes as well as other things of course. She’s fantastic at fit videos.
4. The Light Blonde - you can find them on Instagram as well as their site. They specialize in faith based graphics
5. Love41 - hands down my favorite leather goods retailer. 100% of their profit goes to help the ministries they are involved with in Africa. Suzette Munson and Tina Lytch are amazing and I count them as friends.
6. Prickly Pear TX - you can find them on Facebook. This is where I get the majority of my graphic tees. I absolutely LOVE the owner and you will too.
7. Ella Lane - if Wanakome is your jam, you’ll want to find this boutique on Facebook. She also designs her own line and strives for quality and size inclusivity with a range of XS-4XL
8. Ruby’s Rubbish: another great graphic tee supplier that also carries fun faith based graphics
9. Baltic Born: my go to for occasion dresses.
10. Mikarose: find their site. Probably one of these best dress suppliers (non-occasion) I have worked with. Super nice people too.
11. Grace and Lace: great retailer for a little of everything. Once featured on Shark Tank, they have a beautiful backstory. I love their designer jeans.
12. If local: GiGi’s emporium: she has a range of fun inventory and is located downtown Port Orchard
13. The Purpose boutique is also localish. A bit more higher range in pricing but has a great inventory that I would deem chic and boho in look. They also give back by focusing on fighting human trafficking.
14. Magnolia Jean Boutique: run by a friend of mine who has a passion for animal rescue and her boutique helps support her efforts. This boutique has brands like Blakeley and Michelle Mae.
15. Carpe Chic is a boutique owned by a good friend whom I trust to shoot ya straight. She runs mostly preorders based on trusted suppliers and those items she knows well
16. Sweet Elaine Boutique by Janell McPhail is run by another friend of mine from our old A&D glory days. She is based in TX and has good variety and keeps one of my faves in stock: Savannah Jane (by Andree by Unit)
Finally, some of my favorite brands to look for in boutiques:
Judy Blue, Risen, Andree by Unit, POL, Entro, Umgee, Wanakome, Ampersand, Blowfish, VeryG and others but these are known for quality and style
* I might add to list as I think of other retailers
