Hey Babe, let’s talk..🎙

(Mental Health in Small Business)

I designed this dress over a year ago, end of August 2021.

I remember reaching out to Liam to do a quick photo shoot as I was so excited I finished a piece from scratch. 🪡

As, I was only a year into sewing there were definitely some sewing technological mishaps and construction methods I now, know how to apply and finish more properly… Nonetheless I was proud.🙏🏽

I remember Liam being so kind and hyping me up on this design ✨ & thank you to the random people who passed by and gave me words of encouragement as well. ✨

Feeling like a photoshoot was the proper way of acknowledgment of my work and efforts. 📸

Once reviewing the beautiful photos Liam took - my negative and intrusive thoughts overwhelmed me while I analyzed every aspect of this design on a digital platform. 😿

I couldn’t remember how proud I once felt, while we were in the midst of the shoot.

~ I let my hard work disappear.
~ I let the new things I had just learned, without any credit.
~ I let the 1 hour of pure happiness throughout that shoot, vanish into a memory.
~ Every bit of feeling proud was now filled with feeling mortified that other seamstress with see my mistakes and judged my design.

✨ It’s been over a year since I made this dress and I can proudly look at this design and photoshoot with ease.✨

Knowing my level of experience, education and knowledge within this field at that time. AND to being able to pull this design off AND have a bomb photoshoot with an incredible photographer. ❤️
