Metal Butterflies and Spiders I'm a gadget-holic and steel snob. I am in my search of AOHOC (Ambidextrous One Handed Open & Close) folding knife. Well, I like all manner of blades.

In here, I usually like to talk about folding knife that is A.O.H.O.C. ( Ambidextrously One Handed Open & Close) What I came up with are AXIS lock of Benchmade and Ball bearing lock / compression lock in Spyderco. I want to talk both of them rather than limited by brand name. As long as it relates to Benchmade and Spyderco, I'm game. Please do not start argument in which is brand is better discuss

************ Updates!!! The Crooked River version of my tool is out! I just made about 2 dozen of them. They work just like my normal alignment tool; but only for Crooked River knife models. Maybe other newer big models? I dont know, I dont own every Benchmade knife. Benchmades Larger Crooked

I compare canted blade of Loco (808/818) to Massad Ayoob blade. It is canted for a good reason. Most unusual about his folder is its radical angle of the handle to the blade. Ayoob explains: “With a typical knife, thrusting lifts the blade’s point above the line of the forearm, like a boat prow going through water. The faster, harder or more resistance encountered, the higher the prow rises deviating the blade off course from its original target which can mitigate the depth of the cut and can cause the blade to literally ‘skid’ when a resistant surface is hit.”
