THE Gypsy Story
Our passion & admiration for fabulous fabrics, natural jewels, unique garments, local artists, free-spirits, and talented individuals started loads of years ago in Bend, Oregon. The Gypsy family saddled up the wagon and continued their journey down south to Sedona, Arizona to see where the path my lead. Gypsy mama began their adventures in Sedona by pulling out of their gypsy v
intage trunks & suit cases full of “goods & mantras” and began operating “Urban Gypsies Traveling Boutique” along with her daughter and gifted photographer. Let us explain . . . We would either rent out/trade/share an empty business space for a short period of time and set up shop! With help of our Gypsy family & drifting friends we would GypSSify the space! We currently have a “more permanent” shop located in spectacular Sedona, AZ. Don’t worry, we still hit the road for trunk shows from time to time. So make sure to keep an eye out for the Gypsy Wagon pulling up for your neck for the woods. Urban Gypsies boutique passport is stamped with many memories from trunk shows from Big Sky Bozeman, MT to Southern Cali for sure, & soon northern for festivities, music & wine tasting :). We have traveled route 66 and co-hosted with mermaids for a couple days in Kingman, AZ and in Flagstaff, AZ we hosted our share of electrifying fashion shows, oh and we will never forget the time we proudly showed our “pride in the pines”! Gypsy Shop in the Red Rocks
All gypsies travel with the wind, but the glowing red rocks had a different path in store for us . . . We have been grounded for over 5 years in the heart of West Sedona. We set up for traveling truck show for the film festival next to the movie theater and end up staying for a couple years, then like true gypsies have now moved to our third location in Sedona tucked back in the garden. The store has began to blossom as we added to in, and in time, month after month of hard effort, passion, personality, love, and friendships in and out the door, the
Gypsy Shop finally began to bloom . . .We now have a Sacred Space that the community can rent out for all sorts of events; some including: Yoga Classes, Meditation Classes, Spiritual Workshops, Sacred Pregnancy Classes, Mommy and Me classes, Concerts, Prosperity Classes, Woman's empowering meditation gatherings, Empower yourself as an empath, Weekly Tarot and Intuitive readings, and that just to name a few! So stay tuned for much more gypsy magic to come! The store is purposed & ran by an amazing group of close friends & family, and of course our charming shop dog, Leema who loves to greet all gypsies may they be young or old. What we stand for . . . We have been involved in many fundraiser and benefits in support of positive causes such as, the annual cat walk for cancer, . . . Everything so soft! We take much pride & consideration in our buying process and look into where the items are made (we maintain “made in the U.S.A”), how they are made, and the materials used on the products we carry. Our purpose is to inspire, get you to try on something you wouldn’t, support our local artists & entrepreneurs, re-purpose exceptional vintage threads, love our children and animal friends, give confidence, make you think out side the box, give back to our community, aid the fight in cancer, encourage travel, be an eco-friendly shop, and to always be ready for life’s next adventure. We’ve come a long way & it’s only getting better!
