You know there's an old saying:

"Don't forget to look around. Where you're standing today was once the goal you were trying to achieve."

That saying has been on my mind a lot lately.

This little store was once nothing more than a dream. It was late-night conversations, scribbled notes, ideas that seemed bigger than our bank account, and a whole lot of faith. There were times we questioned if we could really do it, times when the obstacles seemed bigger than the dream itself.

But somehow, one step at a time, this little family built it from the ground up.

Every shelf, every display, every customer, every vendor, every late night, every sacrifice, and every lesson learned helped create what Homemade Haven is today. It may not be the biggest store in town, but it's ours. It's proof that dreams don't have to start big—they just have to start.

Sometimes we get so focused on what's next that we forget to appreciate how far we've come. This store was once the destination we were praying for, working toward, and hoping would become reality.

Today, we're standing in that dream.

And for everyone who has supported us along the way, thank you for being part of this journey. The best chapters are still being written.

One of our in shop vendors is headed out and setting up at Austin Street Market stop by and check out her amazing items!

Schroeder Homestead will be at the Austin Street Market in Seguin this Saturday from 9am-2pm. We will have Sourdough bread, mini dessert loaves, cookies and some new treats. Come say hi and shop local.
