Essex Ln started with a dream, a lot of hard work, and one screen-printing press. Former names J&J Embroidery, Ink Slingers & Bodertown imprints.
In 1999, Darrin bought his very first screen-printing press with a vision to create something meaningful for our community. What started small has grown through years of learning, long nights, challenges, growth, and the incredible support of the people around us.
We are the Stephens family — Darrin, Kandice, Nicholas, Kolina, and Monty — and Essex Ln is more than a business to us. It’s a part of our story and a part of Seneca. ❤️
Over the years, we have evolved into a small-town business capable of doing so much more than we ever imagined. Today, we proudly create custom letter jacket patches completely in-house, along with screen printing, embroidery, and commercial DTF printing — all produced right here in our small town. What once started with one press has grown into a full in-house production shop built through hard work, faith, and community support.
We have been blessed to build relationships that feel more like family than customers. From local teams and schools to small businesses and community events, we are proud to help represent the place we call home.
February 2025 marked one of the biggest milestones in our journey. We took a huge leap of faith and purchased the historic brick buildings next door — the former O’Reilly’s and Tin Lizzie’s locations — along with the building we were already in. With that growth came a new chapter and a new name: Essex Ln.
This rebrand represents more than apparel and printing. It represents family, tradition, growth, creativity, and community. It reflects where we started and where we are headed.
