The 49th Annual Unicoi County Apple Festival is getting closer, and this year’s festival promises to be an extra-special celebration!

For nearly five decades, the Apple Festival has brought tens of thousands of people to downtown Erwin for a weekend filled with incredible arts and crafts, delicious festival food, live entertainment, family fun and the traditions that have made this event so special for generations.

But 2026 gives us even more reasons to celebrate! This year, we’ll be celebrating the Town of Erwin’s 150th anniversary and joining communities across the country in commemorating America’s 250th birthday. Add in the 49th year of the Unicoi County Apple Festival, and you have one BIG weekend of history, community, tradition and celebration!

And trust us… you’re going to want to be here! Over the next several weeks, we’ll be giving you a sneak peek at everything planned for this year’s festival — from entertainment and special activities to festival favorites and some exciting ways we’ll be celebrating these incredible milestones.
