Hello Friends!!! I want to introduce myself, it’s been fun getting to meet some new gals from the giveaway! So here’s a little about me or a little more about me if you’ve known me for a while⚡️
I’m Tarin Brown👋🏼 I’m a wife, homemaker & Mama x3. I love DIY-ing our small home with my hubs , traveling, playing with our kids and putting God’s Word on clothes!
We’ve moved 10 times in 10 years of marriage, a lot in California, also North Carolina and Australia while Todd played basketball there. We loved moving and traveling and feeling unattached to temporary homes on earth. We had each other and the Lord. And it was very freeing letting go of sentimental and realizing what true home meant. We always want to keep that with us and we build home with our kids.
I always dreamed of being a makeup artist, fashion stylist or interior designer, but instead was a collegiate volleyball player with a marketing major. I wanted to have my own business someday and knew marketing would help somehow. But didn’t know what that would look like.
In junior high, I started spending time in God’s Word every day. Not for church or bible study, just to get to know Him. And He consumed my soul. It changed my whole life.
I mess up a lot, hence the GRACE UPON GRACE design. But I learned that His Word is LIFE-GIVING. It’s God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
II Timothy 3:16-17 This came true in my life.
Becoming a Wife and especially a Mom, rocked my world and all my self righteousness and pride came to the surface. And once again His Word came to the rescue. It’s a daily surrender and plea for help and grace.
But it is good and He is very kind.
My love of design & marketing collided with my love & experience of Gods Word to create River Raised.
We need to have an urgency for Jesus. And I want to share His message with as many people as possible. And encourage you to experience what He wants to teach you!
