Embroidery is now available!

Spent the weekend dialing in two new machines so I'm pleased to announce that I'm now able to offer embroidery services for all of your upholstery needs. The first embroidered pieces are the helm seat backs for the Chris Craft you may have seen posted before. Whether it's marine or automotive upholstery, embroidery is available for it. I also digitize my own files so custom embroidery is available as well.

As always, feel free to contact me with any needs. I may also do small or one-off embroidery orders for other goods if needed.

Last week I picked up two new machines, and a generator.

The skiver let's me properly perform automotive upholstery I have scheduled (headliner/panels and wrapping a dash, along with some seat re-covers) since the edges have to be thinned prior to sewing. It'll also allow me to do wallets (since many of you have asked over the years) and other small leather goods such as duffel bags, bags, etc.

The portable sewing machine and generator now means the trailer is ready to roll out next boating season offering dockside/on-site covers and possibly single or double boat seats. So next season mobile fiberglass and gelcoat repairs, along with cover and cover repairs, marine mat flooring, and seats will be available.

To my Wallenpaupack people that love to keep me busy over the summer, I'll be reaching out to marinas to see if they want to let me set the trailer up there a weekend here and there so you can bring me whatever you may have.

The trailer is finally set up for the most part (minus racking for fiberglass rolls). Most fiberglass and gelcoat repairs are able to be done on-site where the boat is. Whether it's dockside, at your barn, at a marina, etc. Custom cushions, consoles, etc. Will also be able to be performed directly on the boat as well. Any sewing will have to be done at the workshop. Next boating season (late spring/early summer) I expect to roll out mobile canvas and upholstery along with custom bimini frames bent to fit your boat and your dreams. First few pieces done for the Chris Craft interior. Every piece of foam, old or new, gets steamed to bring it back close to its original form or fluff it up. They then get wrapped in dacron, moisture barrier, and then stapled with a mesh backing for breathability and have the staples covered with hidem.

The workshop has definitely changed over the last 6 months. On deck now is an interior overhaul of a 1987 Chris Craft. This picture only shows a handful of the cushions. New boards cut out and sealed, although I generally recommend replacing wood with Starboard. Covers sewn up. This boat is also having quite a bit of custom fabrication work done, including replacing missing seats (backers, foam, and all) which will require forming starboard to fit the bow, and quite a bit of fiberglass work, mainly replacing a long length of interior gunwale that was cut out on each side by a previous owner.

I still have openings for fall/winter projects, from marine to automotive and furniture, upholstery to fiberglass, local to long distance. Feel free to reach out at any time with questions or interests.

Most of you know I've finally gotten into upholstery this past year like I've been planning for a while. Here's just a handful of work I've done over the summer. Cushions to covers, and even marine flooring and replacing vinyl glass on a camper top. A lot was learned this past season and it's definitely grown and has gotten much better. Most Saturdays were spent at Wallenpaupack, quoting, doing dockside repairs, picking up or delivering work I've done. A lot of good people were met along the way that were willing to give me the chance and I appreciate each and every one of them. I've also started to offer fiberglass repair and fiberglass work for those who need it, most of it being able to be done dockside when the season comes around.

First batch of leather orders I've done in probably a year. Hand carved and tooled radio strap, a radio holder with hand carved, tooled, and painted velcro patches which is a first for me. Two sets of suspenders, one with a matching G1 Cover and the other with a passport shield, with a whole lot of passports.
