MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

The Morrow's do some awesome work on shoes, I had the honor of meeting both Bo and Megan's parents and they're some very nice people, People people, you could say!!! Bo's dad told me they've had 4 generations of Shoe Repairman in their family! Wow! 3 in my wife's family, The McCaigs. I was the last in that generation but anyway, they are the only shop in approximately 50 miles in every direction, when I was in speaking with them a few days ago, they had so much repair it was unbelievable! Bo's Dad was helping them get caught up. They were literally SLAMMED with business, sales and repair BOTH! I couldn't be happier that the good folks in the Shoals have such a great family to do business with. It was my dream for the last for the last 5 years of trying to retire that I would hand my legacy down to the right people and that has absolutely been the case here. The shop should be good to run several more decades reaching the "Hundred Year" mark in business, which is good thing for all involved!

Why should we pay cash everywhere we can
with banknotes instead of a credit card? 💳
- I have a $50 banknote in my pocket.
Going to a restaurant and paying for dinner with it. The restaurant owner then uses the bill to pay for the laundry. The laundry owner then uses the bill to pay the barber. The barber will then use the bill for shopping.
After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a $50, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made...
- But if I come to a restaurant and pay digitally - Card, and bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around $1.50 and so will the fee $1.50 for each further payment transaction or owner re laundry or payments of the owner of the laundry shop, or payments of the barber etc.....
Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial $50 will remain only $5 😫 and the remaining $45 became the property of the bank 🏦 thanks to all digital transactions and fees.
Small businesses need your help and this is one way to help ourselves too. Pull small draws of cash out at a time and use that instead of tap, credit, etc.
When this is put into perspective, imagine what each retailer is paying on a monthly basis in fees at 3% per transaction through their POS machine.
If they have, for example, $50,000 in sales & 90% are by Card, they are paying $1500 in fees in ONE Month. $18,000 in a year! That comes out of their income every month.
That would go a long way to helping that small business provide for its family!🏦♥️"

Well, it's time to announce what's going on with me and my business. We will be open Wednesday-Saturday until November 29th, which will be my last day as the owner.

The business is sold, it's a done deal as of December 1st. My last day will be November 29th which will be Small Business Saturday, the day after Black Friday

The new owners are The Morrows, Bo, Megan and family.
They currently own "Morrows Shoe Shop"

They are nice people and I'm glad they plan to run the shop and store, offering shoe repair and sales which will be the way we operated for decades up until I quit doing repair 15 years ago.

I'm asking all of my current customers and every one to support them in their endeavor. They have a family to support and nothing makes me happier knowing that they will continue the tradition of my business. It's been in operation for 72 years and I hope they can go much further than what I have.

This area needs their valuable service of repair and supplying companies with Safety Boots, shoes & work boots of all kinds
to all of my current accounts. I am asking for all the Companies & and City departments to get behind them with their support like you have for me for decades. They will need your business and be proud to help as I have for the many years of my ownership.

Goodbye to all and thank you very much for being so good to me over the decades, I can't thank you enough, words can't express the gratitude I feel.
There are so many who have expressed their feelings and shown me how much they care, I'm totally humbled by their dedication but I ask one thing of you all, Support the new owners and give them the same chance you gave me. Their success means a lot to me and nothing would please me more than their total success.

Well, after 72 years of continuous business, 44 years of my employment, 35 years of ownership, we are looking for a new owner.
I plan to stay open awhile longer to make that happen, we want to keep supplying all the great folks in our area, The city workers, company employees, union members, construction workers and everyone who's one of our customers, we hope we can find the right person for the job.
The shoe shop is still there and if someone wants, they could offer Repair also.
I'd like to thank all that have supported my family over the decades, there are so many that will always be special to me.
I will miss all of you.
If someone has a serious interest in becoming the new owner and keeping open a business that has survived so long, please message me and I will respond when I am able, I stay busy most of the time but I will respond.
