This vintage shop continues the history of Blanton's Variety Store that was established in Shelby, NC in 1937; a beloved family store with a famous candy counter. Hours:
Tues - Fri: 10:30am to 5:30pm
Sat: 10:30 to 5:30pm
Closed: Sun & Mon

In the original Variety store there were members of the community, old friends and family who sat in the store and talked and were affectionately referred to as the "Liar's Corner".

If you or a family member worked in the original store, or you shopped and have fond memories of the store, or just love the candy counter in its new location…

Please join us on Tuesday, Dec 14th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm to have refreshments, wish each other a Merry Christmas, share stories and enjoy an extended hour to shop in the market.
