Dear all,
Let me start by first saying thank you, from the very bottom of my heart, as none of this would have been possible if it weren’t for you. Thank you for all of the love & support you have shown to me & to this small business over the last five & a half years. Thank you for every purchase, referral, recommendation, like, comment, share, & kind or encouraging word. Thank you for your patience, trust, & faith in me as I’ve grown as an entrepreneur & for also recognizing that I’m still human & always showing me forgiveness & grace when I’ve needed it. Doing what I love, sharing it with you all, & calling it “work” has been an absolute dream come true. This journey has been the most rewarding & fulfilling as well as challenging; I’ve celebrated many highs, suffered my fair share of lows, shared lots of laughs & smiles, & shed a few tears too. I have poured my heart into this store, this extension of me, & I will forever cherish the memories & friendships made within these walls.
However, the past year brought a new piece of my heart into this world & I have since struggled to be both the business woman & the mother that I want to be. Then I read somewhere that you are replaceable everywhere in life except in your home, & to invest your time, energy, & heart where it matters most. While I have loved this store so very much & it has been a huge part of my life and who I am, it is no longer where my heart lies as I am now whole heartedly consumed with motherhood in the very best way possible. This decision was not made hastily & has been thought & prayed over in the last several months. I decided that my most favorite time of year makes for the perfect time to go out on a high note & officially close the doors to K. Ellen Boutique. Our final sale will begin this Saturday, just before The Celebration, & I hope to see friends both near & far to say farewell & enjoy “one last hoorah”. Though I am experiencing many mixed emotions letting go of something so special to me, I am flooded with gratitude to have lived out this dream, am proud of K. Ellen Boutique, & am excited and thankful for the future God has given me. Cheers to the next chapter!
