Showing off the yarn shops we visited on our trip to Victoria, British Columbia. We had lovely visits with some of the shop owners and their staff and, of course, brought back some locally produced yarn and fiber. If you ever get up to Victoria, make sure you stop in at these stores and check out all the loveliness available.

Happy Monday everyone. It’s the last day of August and we have one more week left for our cowboyyarncrawl . The crawl ends next Monday, September 7th. The Fiber House will be open that day so you can plan to finish your crawl with us. The grand prize winner will be randomly chosen on Tuesday, September 8th from all those who completed their crawl and we will also choose our store prize winner that day. Hope to see many finishers this week!

New fall yarns from Knitting Fever / Euro Yarns are coming in. Here we introduce you to three fi*****ng weight yarns: Araucania’s Aquarella (a wild silk), Jody Long’s Delish (silk/wool blend), and Mirasol’s Llama Umi (100% llama). All three are luscious yarns that will make beautiful designs with lots of drape. We also introduce Jody Long’s Bubbakins Play, a worsted weight acrylic yarn in variegated colors that will pair nicely with Plymouth Yarns’s Miramar. Patterns are available for all these new yarns.

Crazy Days - day 2. Come check out the awesome deals on the front lawn and inside the store. Please be aware, the house next door is being re-roofed so do not use the sidewalk on the side of the house. Go through the store and check out the sale items inside before going out to the front lawn.

Our latest trunk show is from Mountain Meadow Wool as part of our ongoing 20th anniversary celebration. Come check out our existing and new stock of this yummy, squishy and Wyoming produced yarn. 10% off this month. Mountain Meadow Wool is located in Buffalo, Wy and is also part of the cowboyyarncrawl.

Congrats to everyone who has completed their cowboyyarncrawl . We’ve had four finishers here in Sheridan. You have the rest of August to get around to all eight participating locations. This weekend is our annual Crazy Days sale so that would be a good time to get your trip to Sheridan completed.

Tournament of Knights going on now at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. Sponsored by CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy. Cool vendors, costumes, and knights jousting. Lots of family fun and things to do. I’m here demonstrating weaving and spinning with a friend, so come on down and check us out.

Are you ready for a fun time? Come out to the Sheridan County Fair Grounds for the Tournament of Knights and renaissance fair tomorrow July 25 starting at 9 am. I’ll be up there with some friends demonstrating weaving and spinning. The Tournament is sponsored by CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy. Chaps does horse therapy for people facing mental, physical, and emotional challenges.
