There is a kind of walk that doesn't make it into your phone.

No route planned. No stats tracked. You put on your shoes and go somewhere familiar, or nowhere in particular. You come back an hour later and the only thing you can say about it is that it was good.

We made the Just Walking tee for that walk. Not for the summit. Not for the trail log. Just for the fact of moving through the world on foot, without an agenda.

When was the last time you walked somewhere without knowing how far you went?

No watch. No tracker. No entry in an app. Just the walking, for however long the walking took.

The brain that hikes for time and distance gets very loud. Every step becomes a data point. Every walk becomes a performance. Eventually the woods stop feeling like the woods and start feeling like a gym.

The brain that walks for no reason at all eventually goes quiet. And something else shows up in the quiet.
