A few weekends ago, we took a road trip to Shiner, TX to visit my brother and his family for my sweet little niece’s first birthday! Cole and Eleanor are 3 months apart in age, and they had a great time playing together! Bluebonnets were growing in my brother’s front yard, so, like every good Texan, we took about 176 photos of the babies in the bluebonnets!! How cute are they holding hands?! 🥰 Priceless! 💜💙

It’s 9 degrees outside. NINE, y’all!!! It’s been snowing all day and the “feels like” temperature is -9 degrees! 🤯🥶 We have been so excited about the snowfall today (and the frigid temperature drops!!) that we almost forgot it was Valentine’s Day! Hi friends!! 👋🏻 I know, I know. It’s been a while! Ok... a LONG while!! 2020 was a weird year, wasn’t it? How can time fly by but also stand still all at once? 🤯 My son, Cole, was born in June, and his presence has been the biggest bit of sunshine throughout this whole pandemic. I have been itching to get back in the craft room, and today was the perfect day to do just that! An ice cold coke, sunshine beaming in the windows, and the quiet hum of Cole’s sound machine in the distance. I quickly realized that I’m rusty with my Silhouette software, but turns out I CAN execute projects during nap time! 🙌🏻 It makes my heart happy to be back in the craft room! Stay tuned, because some new, fun things are coming from The Paper Pocket in 2021!! 🥳

•CUE•THE•CONFETTI• [It has been a while since I have posted here.... but for good reason!] We are excited to welcome a baby 💙BOY💙 to our family in June!!! 🎉 We have been busy nesting and prepping our home for baby boy’s arrival, and the first trimester was NO fun! This blush watercolor gives me •A L L• the feels! 🥰💗 I spent the morning hand painting seating chart cards for a sweet friend’s upcoming wedding. 🎨 It gave me time to reflect on their relationship and think about all the love and goodness I wish for their future as husband and wife. 💑 (It also selfishly takes me back to my own wedding day!!)
