I made this beautiful silk First Communion dress for my daughter. The bow is a dotted Swiss from my own First communion dress from 40 years ago, and the silk overlay was from my wedding dress ( 2010). The silk chiffon was layered over lace and satin. It was a simple design with a beautiful texture, beautiful fabrics, and layering. The veil was my mother’s from her first communion. I love projects that combine the past and the present.
