I’m upstairs cleaning the AirBnb this afternoon. It’s been a busy week at home, and I often forget to stop and take a breath. As I was walking with laundry, I looked out the window to this view. For a moment, I thought I was looking at mountains in the distance! ⛰️🏔️ (This is “Sigourney Summit” up here, ya know! IYKYK!! 😉)!! But then I saw the flag light display Eric hung in the window too 🇺🇸. What a gorgeous view, up high, right here in Sigourney!!!

I am always so grateful when customers share photos of my refinished pieces in their homes. This sweet customer added this oak table to their entry way, and I think this elegant table was patiently waiting for her arrival to our shop! She also found some candle stick holders, handmade beeswax taper candles from The Holton Homestead and a Rooted in Truth print to pull her design all together. I think everything is just sweet & perfect! Thank you so much for your support of our small businesses!! ♥️

**SOLD/CUSTOM**

This classic, solid oak dresser has been restored for years of new use. This sweet family has had more than a lifetime’s share of heartache, so when they asked if I could just make the dresser functional again, I decided we could maybe do a bit better than that! With their permission, I stripped, sanded, and stained this beauty after making the initial repairs needed. The mirror was secured again with modern steel brackets. I lined all the drawers for additional beauty, one of my favorite things to do as a project draws to a close. Some hardware was missing or not original so we found some affordable, simple k***s to pull the piece all together. Thank you for trusting me with this special piece! May it shine some brightness onto your path ahead! ♥️💙

SOLD/CUSTOM PIECE. I never got this beauty staged for some better photos in better lighting during the crazy month I had 😩, but I want to be vulnerable and keep sharing projects with you, regardless. This sweet client continues to trust me with her pieces! For this one, the entire piece was cleaned and stripped. A lot of the finish actually came off with denatured alcohol, as the previous finish was a failing shellac finish. The original hardware with this piece just didn’t suit it after all the staining/priming/painting. I wrestled with that for awhile, stumped. The hardware when I got it was not original but arrived to me with it. One night, at 3am (often my brightest hour), I remembered I had salvaged original hardware from a similar piece years ago! I couldn’t wait to get into the shop to dig in my stash…And guess what—the pulls fit perfectly!! The escutcheon nails even lined up—like a match made in Heaven. The wood details were accented with gold to highlight their beauty, and the (salvaged!) gold hardware pulled it all together. 🌟This was such a beautiful piece and so much fun. I really am heartbroken after all that work I didn’t get some better photos. That said, Thank you so much for continued support despite my chaos!! 🤎

SOLD/COMMISSIONED PIECE.

This dear client wanted this little washstand jazzed up a bit! Isn’t it gorgeous?! Black and oak/wood never go out of style! I stripped the entire piece, sanded, repaired the door and some other small repairs. General Finishes Antique Walnut gel stain and Lamp Black milk paint pair so nicely on these “oldies but goodies.” After cleaning up the hardware, painting it black just made the drawers pop. Such a beautiful piece and a fun project! Thank you for trusting me with your family heirlooms! 🖤
