Summer was crazy busy! I repainted and renovated both kids bedrooms. I finished my last class for an accounting certificate. The kids and I ran all over and made a valiant (but failed) attempt to visit every Smithsonian in the DC area. We hit Williamsburg for the 4th of July. Spent time at the pool. Kids did summer camps... and I didn't do a whole lot on the Peas Projects front!
However, things are still moving along and now that life has slowed down with the new school year starting up, I'm turning my attention back to lovely lovely fabrics. We've briefly gone out of stock on the Yellow Banyan fabric (so THANK YOU!), and our luscious 56gsm linen is still a big hit with all of you! Don't worry, the Yellow Banyan fabric has been reordered and will be restocked in a day or two.
The engageantes, which have been out of stock on my shop will be back with an ambiguous 'soon'. I'm planning to test out the design using the 56gsm linen and a much thinner rayon thread instead of the cotton. I'm uncertain how it'll hold up on the embroidery machine. If it doesn't, I'll put the cotton ones I have been making thus far back up.

I've got three new prints that are in the works and should be ready to go by fall.
https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/174946 - This lovely black ground floral is a delight. It's an American piece, which is fantastic for reenactors who want to make sure to use local prints. I think I've found a lovely cotton to print it on, even if it's not glazed like the original.
https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/94442 - This is a delightful monochrome blue print on linen, which I'll have printed on the same linen/cotton blend we're using for several of our other prints.
https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/84579 - Our third is a bit more of a risk. It's a silk ikat. Traditionally, the yarns are dyed before being woven and this would be a digital print but I did find a good silk taffeta that isn't obscenely expensive.
I'm also thinking about doing a reprint of our Painted Blossoms design. It was originally on a 'plain weave' silk, and it printed out very nicely on a silk/cotton blend. I'm still waffling on whether to reprint it on the same silk/cotton, or to use the new taffeta. So that's a choice to be made. Opinions?
Thanks to the support of everyone this year, I do have the capital to properly stock both silk designs and won't need to do a pre-order!
