Finally wrapped up this waistcoat last night!
(Thanks LLB for the motivation)

Between a few personal hurdles, fitting adjustments, and some shipping delays, this project took a little longer than expected. But that’s all behind me now, and this piece is finished and ready. Paired with the customers new body shirt, next will be his hunting shirt to pull it all together.

Sometimes the road to the finish line isn’t a straight one, but seeing a project through always makes it worthwhile.

The striped linen waistcoat is nearly complete. The buttons have been added, the buttonholes are finished, and now it’s time to attach the panels and bring it all together.

It’s always satisfying when a project starts looking less like a pile of fabric and more like a finished garment. Stay tuned—this one will be wrapped up soon!

My great friend and selling partner,Handmaids Handmade Soaps, is getting set up for the weekend at the Spirit of Vincennes!

She’ll have her full line of handmade products for sale, and she’ll also have one of my personal, entirely hand-sewn greatcoats available. It’s made from wool broadcloth, fully lined, and ready to go.

It may be May, but with all this rain, you can still keep yourself warm and dry in style!
