God truly moves in mysterious ways. Twenty-five years have passed since I came to see the work Christ has done for me (setting me free from the bo***ge of sin and death) and along the way He has taught me what it means to deny myself, take up my cross, and follow Him.

Five years ago I began training at the Pastoral Training Institute and I finally finished! To some this piece of paper is worthless but, to me, it is a representation of how God works to put His people where He wants them. I don’t know what will come from this, but I know that my hearts desire is to serve my Master with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength. By God’s grace, I am what I am, and I pray that I will bring Him glory because He is worthy.

As you can see, I’m still making up-to-date posts (not!). Still working on repairs but not much time for production. Come by Sinton’s True Value and let’s get your old boots as good as new!

For all that don’t know, maybe bc I’m the worst at keeping you in the know, my shop has not been seen in Sinton for quite some time. I am still working on repairs but I have taken an opportunity to help out my friend in Sinton’s True Value Hardware Store. If you have things you need repaired, realize that I am not in my shop full time but I am still trying to be as timely as possible. Thank you for your continued support, understanding, and patience.

Some things to know about Tecova Boots. I have worked on several pair over the years and thought now was a good time to show you what you get. I don’t know if this applies to all of their boot models but, from what I’ve seen, it probably applies to most…

The good:

Leather insole with welt channel instead of linen gemming.

Decent leather construction

Cork filler

The BAAAAAAD:

Shaft lining leather transition to heel counter totally backwards (this causes many problems with comfort and longevity of wear)

Plastic shank

Synthetic, junk heel counter (watch the video)

Overall I’ve been impressed with how Tecova boots have been put together, but my feeling is the bigger the market share the more they will skimp on what matters most which will result in a lesser quality boot and a boot that will be just like all their competitors boots.

For the money, there are better options.
