Siouxland Samplers Quilt Guild

If you are looking for a way to connect with other quilters, please join us at a guild meeting. Lakeport St., Sioux City, Iowa. 7:00 p.m.

We meet the second Monday of the month at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3204 S. Visitors and friends always welcomed. We hold our monthly guild meetings at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 3204 S. Lakeport (fairly close to the Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City. Meetings start at 7:00 pm the second Monday of each month (meetings start 30 minutes early in July & December when we have our potluck dinners). Us

e the South outside entrance to come into the meeting room. Our Guild puts on a judged Quilt Show every other year in odd-numbered years. We welcome quilters from newbies to experts. Membership dues are $20.00 a year. You will enjoy the informative meetings and workshops, the monthly newsletter, and the inspiration you can't help but pick up from our Show and Tell quilts at every meeting.

🧵🔥 Horse Flames 🔥🧵

This striking quilt demands attention! A stunning multicolored horse panel takes center stage, framed by a bold black pieced border that allows the vibrant colors to truly shine. The rainbow fabrics seem to glow against the dark background, creating a dramatic and energetic design.

But the real showstopper might be the back! The maker chose a brilliant orange fabric that perfectly complements the fiery colors on the front. What drew the most admiration was the quilting itself. The swirling pattern stitched across the orange backing immediately brought flames to mind, giving the quilt movement and reinforcing the powerful, fiery feel of the piece.

This is one of those quilts that's just as impressive from the back as it is from the front!

Between all the beautiful piecing, intricate quilting, and creative designs at Show & Tell, this moment may have been the cutest of the night.

A quilt isn't just fabric and thread, it's comfort, warmth, and a cozy place to wrap yourself up and relax. Seeing someone snuggled inside a handmade quilt is a perfect reminder of why we make them in the first place.

I'd say this quilt passed the comfort test with flying colors! 💙😊

This lovely quilt was paired with an equally lovely pillow!

The coordinating pillow is especially special because it was made from the leftover scraps from the quilt. It's always inspiring to see every piece of fabric put to good use, transforming remnants into a perfect companion piece that ties the whole project together.

Sometimes the perfect finishing touch is a matching pillowcase!
