Dear Customers,
First and foremost, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Laurie on her retirement and wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter. Building and running a business requires dedication, resilience, and passion, and we celebrate all that she has accomplished over the years.
At the same time, Lauriebelles' closure serves as another reminder of how important it is to support local businesses and the communities they help build. Since the end of last year, we've seen several women-owned boutiques close their doors, including DART, Primp, Pasque, and now Lauriebelles. Beyond boutiques, many other local businesses have also faced challenges, resulting in closures that impact business owners, employees, families, and the local economy.
Every small business represents a dream, jobs created, and countless hours invested in serving customers and strengthening the community. Behind every storefront are real people who sponsor local events, donate to local causes, employ local residents, and reinvest their earnings back into the place we call home.
Today's small business landscape is more challenging than ever. Rising operating costs, changing shopping habits, and competition from national retailers and online marketplaces continue to put pressure on independent businesses. While shopping online is convenient, where we spend our dollars has a direct impact on what our communities look like tomorrow. When you choose to shop local, you're doing more than making a purchase. You're helping keep local jobs in our community, supporting entrepreneurs who took a chance on their dreams, and ensuring locally owned businesses continue to exist.
To every customer who shops small, shares a post, leaves positive reviews, recommends a local business, attends community events, or simply chooses to shop local whenever possible, thank you. Your support helps keep doors open and communities vibrant.
We encourage everyone to continue supporting the small businesses that make our community special. Together, we can help ensure local businesses remain a meaningful part of our home for years to come.
With gratitude,
Stacey & Leslie, Love Marlow🩵
