From climbing through abandoned buildings, scouring neighborhood rummages, or keeping it cool on the auction floor, the family has worked decades to locate the items that would otherwise be overlooked. Urban Archaeology aims to bring light to antique and vintage goods that would otherwise be discarded, and we hope to be a destination for those in search of that perfect mantelpiece, a gift for a friend, odds and ends to finish a project, or the inspiration to start something new.

For the vintage heads, you know the Hercules label (by Sears) is the gold standard for mid-century workwear and leathers.The details on this vintage jacket are unmatched. Perfect fade, original hardware, and a fit that only gets better with age.

Mid century sculpture titled “Face of Love” by artist Vincent Glinsky (1895-1975).

It is a cast stone bust that depicts a representation of the Virgin Mary or Madonna.

The sculpture features a glossy off-white face with a serene expression, mottled green hair or veil, and a black painted base. The sculpture is in the Art Nouveau or Mid-Century Modern style.

Glinsky was a founding member of the Sculptors Guild in New York in 1937.
