This is our 10th & final season!
9 years ago today I took a leap of faith & opened a clothing store w/no retail experience, business education & w/zero certainty of what I was doing. Because of all of you it became the greatest leap I ever took! It turns out I fell in love w/all of you more than the clothes & shoes. The stories you shared, the community we built together! I hope you know that the small act of walking thru these doors, instead of clicking add to cart, means everything to me🫶🏼. I watched you welcome babies & spouses, achieve goals, chase dreams, take risks. I helped you choose gifts for people you love. I watched some of you walk thru loss that I know broke you & still you showed up. I am incredibly honored to witness so many moments that mattered. You made a dream come true that I never knew I had & I am so thankful to you all.
There have been hard days w/tears & days that I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. I have met people & friends who may have never crossed my path otherwise.
This is an intentional ending, not a sad one! I have zero regrets! But I know when the sun is ready to set on this part of my journey & I want to soak up every last ray of it with all of you this final year!
After this 10th season together I am giving myself something I haven’t had in a long time, rest. Time w/ friends & family, travel, classes. Space to become quiet enough to hear what comes next. I have ideas & I always look for signs, & so far the universe has put me right where I’m supposed to be! And if you are waiting for a sign to take a leap of faith this is it!

Lastly, I regret not keeping a journal here. So I need one last favor! Skip the store reviews & instead leave me a memory (here or google reviews) something you experienced with us! That’s what I want to take with me, the stories & memories, not the stuff🫶🏼

Today we are closed to stand with communities who are feeling afraid, targeted and unheard. This is not an easy choice for a small business. We are paying our staff and are accepting the loss of income because human dignity, safety, and fairness matter more than today’s sales. I’m from Chicago. I have walked down the streets and seen immigration enforcement officers with military style weapons. It’s frightening to witness in your own neighborhood and no family or person should have to live with that kind of fear. We have sales reps from Minnesota and people we care about are directly affected. Many immigrant families and families of color are living with real fear right now. We ask you to pause and lead with empathy. Because empathy and compassion are what strengthens communities. We will be back tomorrow.
