Mary Beth had someone tell her that their child really likes donkeys. That inspired me to attempt a child's jacket and so I "burro-ed" into our stash to applique a denim jacket. It has a " southwest flavor" I think. The little mule will debut at STAR TREE STUDIO in Ithaca, where our goods are sold, and goods from other talentd local artists. . You will find all kinds of treasures there, you may need a pack mule to get it all home!

As fiber artists, we’re used to working with reclaimed materials. When we find a piece with rips, stains, holes, or tears, we don’t just see what it is, we see what it could become.
We wash it. We cut away what can’t be saved. We mend, patch, and stitch it back into something strong, functional, and beautiful.

Right now, our country feels like that imperfect piece.

So many people who came before us already did the hard work, the brave work, the patient work to move things forward. We want to honor that, preserve what matters, and keep building on it.

We still believe there’s hope here… but hope isn’t passive. It’s something we make, together, one careful stitch at a time.
