All of the leather goods and printed apparel inside the shop and online are designed and made by the husband and wife duo, Blaine and Mackenzie, just 7 miles from the storefront in Upstate NY. The couple collaborates with other small makers and brands, carrying a uniquely curated assortment of goods for all! Tomorrow is our first experiment hosting a weekly Farmers Market Picnic Party! We hope you can come, Wednesdays from 4:30-7:30! I’m uncomfortable with the feeling of it not being huge and fully developed yet, but I know you’re here for the ride with us! Sometimes the start of something feels magical - so this first one is quite small, I think just 6 vendors can make it this early in the season but come to support them and hang with us- our vision is different than a regular market - it’s really a place to post up and gather, sit with a picnic and a beer, play a game and hang by the fire, grab some provisions, meet a new friend.

We will have Byblos Food Truck () serving gyros and more, Happy Camper .camper.drinks serving coffee & lemonade, plus local veggies by F-King Farms, Turner Family Farms, Echo Heights Honey, crafts by Scarlett in stitches and The Local Branch… hoping for a few other vendors, so if you’re free let us know! It’s early in the season so more vendors in the coming weeks - come hang and watch this new event grow and evolve. Grab a bite & beverage from the food trucks, BYOB, picnic at our long rambling tables, sit by the bonfire and relax with community for this weekly mid-week gathering!

Stopped into Skaneateles Fields today to restock and refresh the Fields Pantry for the week! We dropped off a bunch of new Local Branch custom product crafted by Blaine and Aaron in our workshop! Walked to town for dinner and ice cream last night and had to have a stoop hang in front of the shop! Grateful for this little town, our darling community and all of the people who support this amazing village. It’s through consciousness - spending and thoughtful support of our local businesses that we keep this little community thriving. ♥️ It’s often easier and cheaper to checkout from a big box, to get free same day shipping, to buy something without realizing the harmful impact - it’s a whole other thing to support small and local.

Come for the free gumballs, stay for the handmade goods! 🤣 The gumball machine hit the store a month ago, a vision we had after hearing from so many grown ups reflecting on the shop’s history of being the spot for penny candy when they were kids!

I LOVE the droves of kids that swing through on their bikes to get a gumball each day, literally THIS is what childhood memories are made of! Wylie asks on his way home from school if we need to go to the shop to bring down product (secretly hoping he’ll get to spin the dispenser for a gumball)! I hope when the village littles grow up, they will remember The Local Branch as the spot they’d ride their bikes to for gumballs! ♥️

Stopped by the workshop for a quick visit after Wylie’s field trip with his class to the ! We had a quick leather wallet customization to bring to Aaron and I got to see a sneak peak of what the guys have been working on for newness coming to the shop! Wylie made a castle fort out of all of the 📦 endless boxes - it’s the simple things 🤣! Happy Weekend friends, pop by the store for some handmade goodness and tulips for mama this weekend!
