It’s hard to count all the ways my life has changed in the last 4 months.
When I had 2 Tik Tok videos go viral in late May it put A LOT of attention on my custom design work. Since then, I’ve been focusing a ton on that aspect of my business. I’ve been making a ton of awesome custom art. I’ve been fully supporting myself as a freelancer, something I wasn’t sure at the beginning of the year would be possible. I’ve gotten requests to design brand merchandise, wedding logos, and so many other cool projects.
I’ve also stopped pushing my hand-stitched goods. I haven’t been posting regularly on instagram, or updating my website, or sending out emails. Honestly, I haven’t even thought about creating a new design. I told myself for a while that I didn’t know how this shift in focus would affect the hand-stitched side on my biz. But when it comes down to it I knew my focus on design work meant that the hand-stitched chapter of my business had to end.
So this is me, officially telling all of you, that Heck Studios will be moving away from hand-stitched goods to focus solely on digital work. It feels SO strange, but I know in my heart of hearts that this is the right move for my business. Hand-stitched designs will always hold such a special place in my heart, but honestly, I’m so excited about the work I’ve been doing and the possibilities it brings.
