This custom roper wallet was commissioned by a wife as a gift for her husband, complete with a personalized accent detail chosen just for him. Built to be carried every day and age gracefully with use, it has plenty of room for the essentials—cards, cash, receipts, and even a few field notes collected along the way.

This Birkenstock London recraft brought these well-loved clogs back to their former glory.

To give them a fresh start, we rebuilt them with:
• New narrow soft cork footbeds
• A thin black EVA midsole for added comfort and shock absorption
• A white Vibram mini ripple outsole for lightweight traction and a clean, classic look

The original leather uppers were meticulously restored, re-lasted, and dyed black. Reviving their appearance while preserving the character they've earned over years of wear.

Even the small details mattered. The original black buckles had seen better days, so they were replaced with new ones to complete the transformation.

What started as a tired, worn-out pair of Londons is now ready for many more years of everyday wear. Comfortable, supportive, and rebuilt with intention because sometimes your favorite shoes don't need replacing.

They just need the right cobbler. 👣🖤

In my experience, Birkenstock London Clogs always need a new footbed.

The seam that joins the heel counter leather to the clogs vamp leather, is not sewn shut. Just glued. Which doesn't hold very long as it is super common for Birkenstock straps to fall away from the side of the cork footbeds over some time of wear.

Meaning the the cork is now more exposed to the elements and temperatures. So if its rainy, water is getting in. If its humid, water is getting in. If it's hot, the cork is drying out. If your gardening, dirt is getting in, and if you have dogs. FUR is absolutely weaving itself in there.

And because of the leather all the damage remains hidden. So when they make their way to my shop, we know its time for new footbeds.
