What if a foosball game could inspire something BIG for Houston?
The idea behind Foosball Giants: An East Downtown World Cup Legacy is simple: take the characters we know from a foosball table and imagine them as life-size sculptures celebrating Houston’s unique identity.
The collection features 12 original characters inspired by the people, professions, and cultures that shape our city; from astronauts and cowboys to chefs, artists, mariachi musicians, and construction workers.
As an artist with a background in architecture, I’m interested in how art can transform public spaces, bring people together, and create connections that last beyond a single event.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup putting Houston on the global stage, I see an opportunity to imagine something that stays with our city long after the final whistle: playful, larger-than-life sculptures that celebrate who we are.
This is still a vision, and the first step is building the support to make it possible.
